There are tons of reliable resources and what will work for one may not work for another. The above books are my favorite teacher resource “help” books. “Teach Like a Champion” is, by far, my personal favorite. I give it a five out of five. I highly recommend this book, especially if you are a new teacher. There are tons of great ideas that are helpful for the first days of school and “survival skills” for classroom management. Hoping that I get hired into a classroom real soon due to my most recent receipt of my teacher certification (long story for another post), I read this book in its entirety over the summer, and I’m skimming through it taking notes. It is a fantastic resource to minimize classroom problems and maximize learning. The book I ordered came with a CD. The examples — the talented teachers — that were shown were just amazing to watch! https://www.amazon.com/Teach-Like-Champion-2-0-Techniques/dp/1118901851/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=teach+like+a+champion+2.0&qid=1628553190&sr=8-3
This book ties really well with “The First Days of School: How to be an Effective Teacher,” 5th edition. I do give the book a 4 out of 5 stars as there were sections that I skipped over and just went head-on into what was helpful to me for the first one to two weeks of school. https://www.amazon.com/First-Days-School-Harry-Wong-ebook/dp/B0081L58FW/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=first+days+of+school&qid=1628553228&sr=8-3
