Over-prepping: I’m an “over-prepper.” What this means is that I have a really bad habit of over prepping for my class. I’d stay up until 2-3am prepping for lessons and wake up at 5:00am to continue. (I know. Totally unhealthy; I get it but there’s a long story to that.) This article gives an insight on why this happens and steps to take when you find yourself over prepping. https://gsrc.ucr.edu/blog/2020/02/11/pattern-teaching-solution-avoid-over-prepping-your-class
When it comes to informational text, I usually just skim through and look for important points relevant to the information I’m seeking. This text is different. I actually started reading from the first chapter and can’t put it down. First Days of School has been highly recommended by my colleagues, but when I heard about Teach Like A Champion 2.0 I bought it and am hooked. Many of the techniques I use in my classroom are from this book. It comes with a CD and watching those talented and amazing teachers are a lifesaver, especially when it comes to classroom management. This book is highly recommended, ESPECIALLY for student or first year teachers! https://www.amazon.com/Teach-Like-Champion-2-0-Techniques/dp/1118901851/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=teach+like+a+champion+2.0&qid=1628088592&sprefix=teach+like+a+c&sr=8-3
